Meri was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and University of West Florida with a Master of Arts in Communication. She is the Director of Human Resources for The Lewis Bear Company where she has been employed for the last 19 years. Meri’s past and present community involvement includes United Way Board Chair and Funds Distribution Chair, Governor’s appointee as Early Learning Coalition Board Chair, Catholic Charities Board Chair and member, Big Brothers Big Sisters Board President, member and Big Sister, YMCA Board member, Junior League Board Member and Sustainer, graduate of Leadership Pensacola 1999, and proud member of Impact 100 since the beginning. Meri is honored to have been recognized with United Way’s Distinguished Community Service Award, Children’s Champion Award, Big Brothers Big Sisters Volunteer of the Year, and Society for Human Resource Management’s Professional of the Year. Meri is married to her college sweetheart Joel and has boy/girl twins. She enjoys racing triathlons, bicycling, running, travel, and fishing with the family.
Maria has served as the Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Events for Great Southern Restaurants for over six years. She began her tenure with Great Southern representing Jackson’s Steakhouse. Over the years, her position has expanded to cover the Fish House, Atlas Oyster House, the Deck Bar, Palafox House, Great Southern Catering and Events and Merrill Land Company. Maria creates, develops and implements all marketing and promotional efforts on a local, state and national level through print, radio, digital, social and television campaigns. In addition, she coordinates all special event programming and philanthropic giving for Great Southern and Merrill Land. A longtime Pensacolian, prior to joining Great Southern, Maria served as the Executive Director of the Pensacola Museum of Art for eight years. She continues to be actively involved in the arts as well as in numerous community events and organizations
McGee is a CPA and “almost– retired “ principal in the Pensacola office of Warren Averett, LLC. After attending Duke University and receiving a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida, she attended the University of West Florida to obtain the courses needed for her CPA certification. McGee has specialized in tax consulting and compliance for estates, trusts, nonprofit organizations and individuals. In addition to IMPACT 100, McGee serves on the board of directors for the Estate Planning Council of Northwest Florida, Liberty Sertoma and the Speech and Hearing Board and serves as treasurer for St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal church in Gulf Breeze. She is married to Lonnie Lorren of Pensacola, and has three grown sons, one daughter-in-law and two wonderful granddaughters. She enjoys traveling with family and friends, golf and reading.
Martha was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and moved to Louisiana to attend Newcomb College. While in Louisiana, she was licensed as a CPA and worked in public accounting and with a hospital in New Orleans. She moved to Gulf Breeze in 2000 and worked as the internal auditor at a local hospital. She returned to Louisiana a number of years ago to attend law school and work with the Louisiana legislature, but has now moved back to Gulf Breeze and is settling into semi-retirement. Martha serves on the Finance Council of St. Ann Catholic Church. She is married to Tom Richard, an avid golfer, and she is now attempting to learn the game.
Brigette is a proud Pensacola native. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. She has held various systems and technical marketing positions with IBM and Apple Computer. Since returning to Pensacola, Brigette has been a realtor with ERA Emerald Coast Realty. In addition to serving on the IMPACT 100 board, her past and current community involvement includes the Escambia County Council of PTAs/PTSAs Executive Board, Florida PTA Board of Directors, Pensacola Bay Area Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors Executive Board, Pensacola Citizens’ Academy Participant, and Guardian Ad Litem. She and her husband, Larry, serve as elders at New Dimensions Christian Center and have twin sons.
Cyndi is a CPA and the office managing member for the Pensacola office of Warren Averett, LLC, Warren Averett-O’Sullivan Creel division. She received her B.S. in Accounting and Master of Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama and is a certified public accountant in both Florida and Alabama. Cyndi specializes in serving clients in the construction industry and construction-related fields and focuses on tax planning and consulting for all types of businesses and individuals. In addition to IMPACT 100, Cyndi’s civic activities include serving as board member and treasurer of PACE Center for Girls and also as a Sacred Heart Foundation Development Board member. Cyndi is married to Scott Warren of Pensacola, and together they have three children.
Debbie Ritchie is a native Floridian and earned a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University. She moved to Pensacola in 1999 from Monroe County (Florida Keys) where she served two terms as an elected member of the Florida House of Representatives, serving as Minority Floor Leader her last two years in office. Debbie currently works as the COO for the Studer Group, a national healthcare consulting company located in Gulf Breeze, FL. Debbie has long been active in community service. Among her involvements, she was Founding President of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area; serves on the board of the Gulf Coast Kids House and on the University of West Florida Foundation Board. Debbie is honored to have been recognized for her service with several state and local activities. She was named “Quality Floridian” by the Florida League of Cities, Woman Business Leader of the Year, Community Leader of the Year and most recently “Civic Leader” by the Kiwanis Club of Pensacola.
Belle Bear has been a lifelong community volunteer and philanthropist. She has actively served on several community boards and contributed countless service hours to her favorite charities. She was a founding board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. She was a board member for Catholic Social Services, now known as Catholic Charities, and remains an honorary member of their board. She has served as president of the ARC Foundation Board and as a board member for FavorHouse, Girl Scouts, the YMCA of Northwest Florida and the Women’s Board of Sacred Heart Hospital. She is a Sustainer with the Junior League of Pensacola and has been awarded the Joan Gonzalez Award for her outstanding contribution to the League and the Community. She continues to support each of these agencies by hosting events, recruiting volunteers and contributing her time and resources to the various projects and activities of each. Belle was recently awarded the “Best Behind the Scenes Volunteer” by Independent weekly newspaper.
Madrina is a native of Honolulu, Hawaii and has lived in Pensacola, Florida since 1990. She is a licensed Medical Esthetician and has owned and operated various businesses in the area, including a Day Spa that received the “Best of the Coast” award, a retail clothing boutique, and an Anti-aging skincare center of a prominent Pensacola dermatologist. Madrina’s passion in life is to be an ambassador for her community. She is a full time community volunteer which has led her to a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. She served as a Mentor for Take Stock in Children for 4 years. Madrina is the current Pensacola MESS Hall Foundation Chair and an ARC Gateway Foundation Board Member. She is also an Ambassador for Gulf Coast Kids House and a Friend of PACE Center for Girls. Madrina is a member of the private Irish Politicians Club and a co-founder of the mardi gras Krewe of SWAT, a not for profit civic organization. When Madrina isn’t serving as a volunteer, she enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren or enjoying the fabulous Florida life with her partner Mark.
Kim grew up in Pensacola and graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree in Risk Management and Insurance. Following graduation, she left Pensacola for a number of years with stops in Virginia, Rhode Island, Tampa and California. In each location, she was actively involved in Navy support groups, community service, and the Junior League where she served as a Board member. In 2009, Kim returned to her favorite home, Pensacola. Professionally, Kim began working for Amerigroup, a subsidiary of Anthem, while living in Virginia Beach and has been affiliated in different capacities for the past 20 years. She currently is the Director of Contract and Compliance, overseeing state Medicaid contracts throughout the Southeast. Kim has been active with Pensacola Catholic High School, St. Michael Catholic Church and numerous community organizations. Although she is a Georgia Bulldog, her two children are current Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Gail was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and is a certified public accountant in the State of Florida. Gail has worked in the public accounting sector for 25+ years until recently joining the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Cognition. Gail’s civic activities include member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, Past Treasurer for the The Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association, Inc., (dba The First Tee of Northwest Florida), Past President of the Student Advisory Council of Oriole Beach Elementary School, Treasurer of Student Advisory Council of Gulf Breeze High School, Treasurer of the Players Club Homeowners Association, Inc., Volunteer for the Tiger Point Sports Association, Member of the Finance Committee of St. Ann Catholic Church and Organizer of the Baccalaureate Services for Gulf Breeze High School. She has spent numerous hours volunteering at her children’s schools and in support of their extracurricular activities. She is married to Tom and they have 4 children.
Roz is originally from Kentucky, but was raised in Biloxi, MS. She is a graduate of William Carey College with a BA in English. After teaching high school for a number of years in New Orleans and Pensacola, her career shifted to the world of nonprofit organization management. She held positions in several business-related organizations, retiring from the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce. Ros has been active in professional organizations and non-profits, including Pensacola Press Club, Ad Council of West FL, National Association of Fund Raising Executives, Florida Public Relations Association, and a number of U.S. and state-affiliated chamber of commerce organizations. She has served on the boards of Five Flags Rotary Club, Arc Gateway, Arc Gateway Foundation, Favor House, Sacred Heart Foundation, Manna Food Pantry, and Pensacola Symphony Orchestra among others. She is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Pensacola and has been a member of IMPACT 100 since its inception. Ros has a son, daughter, and stepdaughter and is the proud grandmother of five grandsons and one granddaughter.
After spending most of her childhood in Lakeland, Florida, marrying the love of her life, and moving to Memphis for over 15 years, Kim Harvell finally found her real home on Pensacola Beach in 2008. While in Memphis she worked for an international software development company managing the HR and Accounting Departments. Kim was active with two charitable organizations, the FedEx Pilot’s Wives Association and TWIGS of LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. Kim held several board positions with FEPWA including Treasurer and Co-President. Kim’s past and present Pensacola community involvement includes besides IMPACT 100, the Pensacola Beach Woman’s Club, where she has been Treasurer and Vice President, and being a founding member of the Gulf Breeze Community Garden. She is a member of St. Ann Catholic Parish. Kim is happily married to Dave and they have two grown children and one grandson.
Laura is the managing partner of Beroset & Keene and practices exclusively in the area of marital and family law. Receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Iowa and her law degree from Florida State University, Laura has been a Board Certified Marital and Family Law Lawyer since 1994 and has over 30 years of trial experience. She is the past Secretary, Vice-President, and President of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association. She currently serves as a Board Member for the PACE Center for Girls, and is a past Board Member for Children’s Home Society and the Pensacola Historical Society. Laura and her husband, Barry Beroset, live in Pensacola. They have two grown sons, four grandchildren and twin teenage goddaughters.
Melissa is a trainer with Navy Federal Credit Union. She is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology. She has served in nonprofit healthcare and education fields as a teacher, corporate trainer, and multimedia specialist. Melissa was raised throughout the US and in Panama but has called Pensacola home for 17 years. She is a graduate of the 2009 class of Leadership Pensacola and served as the 2013 Curriculum Chair and an alumni board member. Melissa and her husband David live in Beulah with their three furry friends.
Jo grew up traveling the U.S. and abroad as part of a military family. She and her husband Sam moved to Pensacola in 1980. Jo graduated from the University of West Florida with a B.S. in System Science and an M.B.A. She recently retired from her career with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as Director of Technology Programs. In her career, Jo led software development and Telecommunication projects for the Department of Defense. Jo is currently volunteering with the Literacy of Northwest Florida and the Department of Children and Families organizations. She and Sam, who is also recently retired as a member of the faculty of Psychology at the University of West Florida, plan on pursuing their love of cycling and kayaking and participating in the continued growth of Pensacola through their volunteer activities.
Kim has lived in Pensacola for the past 28 years and holds a BA Degree from Emory & Henry College, Emory, Virginia. Kim is the Director of Group Operations at Combined Insurance Services, Inc. Kim consults with business owners to develop employer sponsored benefit plans including group health, life, dental, disability, vision, worksite products and assistance with Healthcare Reform compliance. Her present community involvement includes being a member of IMPACT 100 since 2006, acting Board Member/Secretary for Perdido Key Association, acting Board Member/Secretary for the Keeping Abreast Foundation and an active member of the Krewe du Ya Yas, Warrington Elks Lodge, Greater Pensacola Society of Human Resources and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Ashley holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design, with a Business Minor from James Madison University and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of West Florida. She has a broad range of experience in the Learning and Development field including instructional design, development, and graphic design for both government and commercial clients. Ashley works for Navy Federal Credit Union as an Instructional Designer. Ashley grew up in the military and relocated to Pensacola soon after graduating from college and has continued to be involved in the Pensacola community. She is very involved with Christ Church, and is currently teaching middle school Sunday school. Ashley also volunteers through Navy Federal’s school partnership program. Ashley is married to Dean Prestwood. Together they have one daughter who is already saving for the day she can become an Impact 100 member.
Terri is the owner and Vice President of Global Business Solutions, Inc., an IT services and training provider to Government and Industry. Born in Indiana, she has called Pensacola home for nearly 30 years. Prior to forming her company with her husband Randy, Terri was a Computer Specialist with the Department of Navy at Naval Technical Training Command, Corry Station and Naval Air Station Pensacola. She served as the command Total Quality Leadership Coordinator designing and implementing quality concepts, philosophies and processes. She is a graduate of Leadership Pensacola Class of 2012. She ran the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, Pensacola, for the last three years graduating over 40 new, local entrepreneurs ages 12 to 18. She is currently a board member with the Achieve Escambia Operational Support Team helping to improve educational success from cradle to career. Devoted to her family, Terri enjoys spending time with her two daughters and two granddaughters.
Stephanie serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Pensacola. She has a professional background in local government and municipal finance, and is a member of the International Municipal Lawyers Association, the Florida League of Cities, the Florida Municipal Attorneys Association, and the Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar Association. Stephanie relocated to Pensacola in 1994 after living in the People’s Republic of China. Her credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, a Master of Public Administration from the University of West Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a Minor in Chinese Language from Florida State University. She enjoys cooking class at Jackson’s and favorite social memberships such as Krewe of Hip Huggers, Ivy League Garden Club, and Gaieties Des Femmes. Stephanie and her husband have two daughters.
Lisa utilizes her 30+ years of experience as a CPA, CITP and CGMA to assist financial institutions, hospitals, nonprofits, CPA firms and their clients in implementing measures to secure data and manage risks. Lisa is a nationally recognized speaker, sharing her knowledge with thousands of CPAs and business professionals annually helping them leverage emerging technologies and protect against cybersecurity risks. She is President of Traina & Associates, an IT security audit firm, that has been honored five times as a member of the LSU 100 list of the top 100 fastest growing Tiger-led businesses. Lisa was named to the Baton Rouge Business Report 2014 list of ‘Influential Women in Business’ and also to the CPA Practice Advisor Magazine 2012 list of 25 ‘Most Powerful Women in Accounting’. She served as President of the Society of Louisiana CPAs in 2014. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from LSU and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. She is active in numerous professional and civic organizations.
Ann Woll holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and has over 30 years experience producing award-winning graphic design for local, national and international clients. She is owner of Icon Graphic Design in Gulf Breeze. She is an active volunteer for Pensacola State College Foundation and Pensacola Pyramid, Inc. Ann has been a proud member of IMPACT 100 since 2007, and a previous member of the Board of Directors. Ann was recently appointed to the Pensacola State College Foundation Board of Governors as a Governor at Large. She is still crazy about husband Herb, with a son in Seattle, and a daughter and grandson in Pensacola.
