The growth of IMPACT 100 has been phenomenal. We started in 2004 with 233 members, and awarded 2 grants of $116,500 each. Despite a hurricane devastating the community during 2005, IMPACT's membership increased to 250 members, and IMPACT awarded 2 grants of $125,000 each. In 2006, membership increased to 340 women, so IMPACT awarded 3 grants of $113,035 each. IMPACT’s membership for 2007 increased to 472 women, and IMPACT awarded 4 grants of $118,000 each to 4 non-profits in the community.
For the first time in its short history, in 2008, IMPACT 100 will award five grants of $112,600 to one recipient in each of the five IMPACT focus areas. 563 women became members in 2008 and will contribute a total of $563,000 to the community. At the end of 2008, a total of over $1.8 million will have been awarded to non-profits through IMPACT 100 members.
