Covenant helps families deal with the devastating impacts of Alzheimer’s, and other related diseases, while respecting the patient’s dignity.

Project Description

Fund the expansion of the Project Lifesaver program which equips Alzheimer’s patients with a transmitting device used to quickly and safely return wandering Alzheimer’s patients to their homes. The program works in conjunction with local law enforcement, fire departments, and search and rescue teams. The funds will be used to purchase 50 transmitter devices and cover the monthly monitoring and maintenance fees for those individuals unable to pay. Additionally, funds will be used to launch a public awareness campaign to educate caregivers and the community regarding Project Lifesaver.

Community Impact

The Project Lifesaver transmitting devices will reduce the time and effort needed to locate a missing patient to minutes or hours rather tan searches that last days or even weeks and involve extensive public resources. Project Lifesaver will reduce the risk of anxiety and depression experienced by family members caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease by keeping the Alzheimer’s patient safe when they wander from their home.
