Nonprofit Workshop

Every April, IMPACT 100 Pensacola hosts a workshop open to all nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties as part of our mission “to know and serve the community.” The program includes an inspirational guest speaker, details of the grant cycle, application requirements and instructions, a panel of previous grant recipients, and IMPACT 100 board members to answer your questions.

Dr. Judy Bense was the keynote speaker, presenting “How Pensacola’s Past Affects Our Present and Future.”

Key takeaways from Dr. Bense:

Stick up for yourself.
We learn more from our failures then we do our successes.
Take risks, just because it hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean it can’t be done.
Be willing to promote yourself. Let people know what you’ve been up to lately and what you bring to the community.
Know when to not take “no” for an answer.
Don’t be afraid to pivot when you see a viable, adjacent alternative that is important to your community and livelihood.

IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area provides many resources throughout the year to support nonprofits. Many of these resources are available to nonprofits whether they receive, or event apply for an IMPACT grant.
